New Photo Project
I have started a photo a day project on my website Stephanieholley.com. Admittedly I have already missed a couple of days and I'm only 10 days in, so we shall see how it goes. I'm doing a color theme for each month. I started with yellow for September and I started about a week or so into September. I chose to do a theme because I think it makes me more likely to take photos of things I wouldn't ordinarily photograph because it fits the color theme. This has also proven to be a bit challenging. It will only get worse as I lose more and more daylight in the evenings after work. Oh well it's just for fun and to give myself a little something creative to do everyday. So Check it out.

Accessorize
I was sick of my jewelry being crammed in the jewelry armoire. My necklaces were always tangled; my earrings always mismatched. It took so long to just get to the stuff I wanted to wear that usually just skipped it all together. So I decided to make myself something to put on the wall to display my jewelry in a way that is more accessible. I got some wood chunks from the craft store, a few strips of that lattice looking stuff and some dinosaurs from walmart. I glued it all together, spray painted it a solid color, and hung it on the wall. I think I'm going to need to make another one, especially if I ever plan on buying more jewelry.

Better Late Than Never
So yesterday Raven got me a copy of Lightroom 3 which I'm pretty stoked about. I'm very excited to play around with it but I don't have any recent photos that need edited. I do however still have a couple of folders left from my summer vacation of 2009 that sadly I have never gotten around to. Mainly because I take an ungodly amount of photos and after a while they all start to look the same. If I see one more foggy photo of the sea I'm going to kill myself. Also one of my folders was almost completely ruined with a dirty filter, possibly the worst I've ever seen. However the new Lightroom has a plug-in that allows you to upload directly to flickr and facebook, so I'm loving it. I guess I just need to take some new photos this weekend.
