I have lived in West Virginia all except for the last two years off my life which I've spent in Asheville, NC.  I graduated from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia with a BA in Studio Art and Art Education.  My focus in college was painting, that was mainly because at the time I attended the school didn't have a darkroom or a photography professor.  If not for this I'm sure I would have stuck with photography.  It worked out because I really enjoyed painting but nearly as much as photography.

When I was 14 my mom gave me her camera to take on a trip to mexico.  I'd say I took about a roll of film before I laid my camera in the sand breaking it instantly.  Well since that time I have learned so much more about the art of photography not to mention camera care.  I have not had "formal" education but I have studied photography independently and worked with both film and digital SLR cameras for about 10 years.  I am currently using the Nikon D300.

I can't image photography not being a part of my life.  I'm dedicated to my art and highly critical of myself, I will always seek to improve my skills.
